The Roads Less Travelled

No longer a world of sepia and sorrow, island biking is to be had on slim racing bikes spearheaded by weekending youths in lyrca. It is not uncommon to be overtaken by five or six bike mates as you drive up a hill road in a car.

​

 

Cycling the main roads is something of a death wish,  given death-wish bus drivers and chauffeurs on phones; but the small country roads are calm and much safer – offering beautiful little travelled roads that snake from town to town. 

​

 

Specialist biking companies can set up itineraries or day trips, depending on what is needed.
